The wise use of its assets is fundamental to the longevity of an organization. Equally important is the security of those assets.
The department of audit within the Guyana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists functions to promote at the level of the local church both the wise use and security of the organization’s assets.
In this context the department:
- Examines financial records and practices to determine compliance with biblical and organizational principles.
- Counsels with church leadership to make more efficient and effective, church financing practices.
- Underscores and encourages ever increasing stewardship responsibility among the church family.
