Officiating officers from the Caribbean Union Office were Dr. Eugene Daniel and Pastor Andrew Farrell, President and Ministerial Secretary of the Caribbean Union respectively. Officiates from the Guyana Conference were Dr. Hilton Garnett - President, Pastor Stanton Adams - Executive Secretary, and Pastor Bernelle McPherson - Ministerial Secretary.
Brief Sketch of Ordained Pastors
Pastor Noel David Schultz began pastoral work in Guyana after completing his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Theology (with a Pastoral Ministry Emphasis) at the Caribbean Union College in Trinidad in 2001. So far, 483 souls have been led to Christ through his ministry. Pastor Schultz currently serves as the District Pastor of the Upper East Bank District.
He is married to Twanya Joseph from Grenada.
They have two children – Jessie Havell David, and Jehaida Jeslyn.
Pastor Richard Avert James began serving as a Bible Worker of the Guyana Conference in 1991. After working in that capacity in a number of districts, he was appointed Lay Pastor in 1998. In 2004, James graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree (with an emphasis in Health) from the Caribbean Union College. He has led over 724 souls to the church since becoming a pastor. He currently serves as the Personal Ministries and Community Services Director of the Guyana Conference.
Pastor James and his wife, Penelope, have one daughter, Amaris.
Pastor Sherwin Ashton Eric White, holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology (with a Pastoral Emphasis), joined the ministerial staff of the Guyana Conference in 2003. Evangelism is one of his areas of strength in ministry; and thus far, he had led 1,100 souls to baptism. One of his current undertakings is the development of an evangelistic series along with his wife. Another is the pastoring of the Demerara/Essequibo District.
Pastor White’s wife, Donna, is from the twin islands St Kitts & Nevis.
Pastor Onesi Kelita LaFleur received his call to the Gospel Ministry in 1999 as he was preparing to pursue a Masters Degree in Agricultural Science. His detour to the clergy led to his acquiring a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology (with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry) from the Caribbean Union College in 2005. His ministry has added over 400 souls to the church. While he currently pastors the Carmel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Georgetown, he also serves as Director of the Youth Ministries, Education, Chaplaincy, and Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Departments of the Guyana Conference.
Pastor LaFleur is married to Lucrisha.
